The Accords: Nashville’s Hottest Jazz Band
Sure, Nashville is famous for country music, but did you know the city has a deep jazz history too? Back in the 1920s, jazz was alive and swinging downtown. Beasley Smith’s Orchestra had a residency at the Andrew Jackson Hotel, filling the air with those smooth, toe-tapping tunes. In 1925, they were part of WSM’s first-ever broadcast, sharing the spotlight with other bands and putting jazz on Nashville’s map.

The Accords are here to bring that vibe back. Inspired by legends like King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band, Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five, and Nick La Rocca’s Original Dixieland Jass Band, they stay true to the sound and energy of the 1920s through the 1940s. Their New Orleans grooves and tight arrangements set the perfect scene—whether you’re hitting the dance floor or soaking up a speakeasy vibe. The Accords keep Nashville’s jazz story swinging.
The Accords perform every third Friday of the month at the Dive Motel in Nashville, TN.
